Top Overwatch Characters in 2020

Of course! Here it is:

The video is by Unlimited Gameplay and is titled Top 5 Overwatch Characters (Excluding DPS). The entire transcript is given below.

One of the best things about Overwatch is how balanced the characters are, meaning there is no one character that can come on and dominate by just button mashing or just being more overpowered than everybody else.

And with this in mind, it’s also true that if you learn how to play good enough with any character, you can bring terror to all others.

And it doesn’t matter which character you study since that statement is so true. It would be hard to make a countdown of which characters are best for everyone.

But I still can make a list of which characters work best for me. As you can see from the other videos on this channel, I may not be an Overwatch master, but I surely know my way around.

Number 5: Mercy.

If one team has Mercy and your team that’s not your team will lose, plain and simple.

Mercy is the lifeblood of Overwatch. With her on your side, your team is strong and feared.

Once she is gone, your team is almost laughable. Players don’t mind being blasted with Bastion’s gun as long as they’re doing what they can to try to kill Mercy first.

Stick Mercy behind a great tank, either Reinhardt, D.Va, Orisa, or Winston, who by the way fell in the number 6 spot of this countdown.

And the help of Mercy can turn the tides at the last minute on a game that you thought was lost.

A lot of people complain when Mercy’s ultimate was changed last season because there was nothing more comforting than when your entire team has been wiped out to hear her scream “Heroes never die,” which would bring all of the members of your team back to life for a second shot at your last fan.

But even with the new abilities that Mercy has, like bringing someone back to life early on in the match, Mercy’s hope would give your team an early lead.

A team without mercy is a team who is more concerned with having individual fun than winning as a group.

Even her gun was updated, so now when she’s not healing her flock, she is lighting somebody up with what feels like a gun quake in Star Wars.

She is vital, and that’s why she is in the number 5 spot.

Number 4: D.Va.

Even in real life, if you were to go into a crowded hallway and nerf this, I truly believe all the other students, teachers, and faculty will dive into their room doors for cover.

D.Va can change the landscape of a game with one ultimate. You can almost tell how tough the match is going to be by how hyper D.Va becomes flying out of the front spawn point, firing on all cylinders.

If you have seen Robocop in the 1980s, you know what ED-209 did to the executives in the OCP briefing room.

That is what it feels like when you go head-to-head with D.Va. She shoots rockets and bullets at the same time, and they never seem to run out.

She can even drive you over, pushing you off cliffs and escape back to safety.

And, similar to Mercy, D.Va is what you call a main character of Overwatch.

Almost every team you play against will have one.

Maybe it’s time you get good with her too.

Even when she’s falling from her suit, her gun is fine and powerful enough to beat some of the biggest threats.

Number 3: Winston.

Mixing strength with the speed of a DPS, Winston has everything you need except for a powerful gun.

This gun is weak, his shield is weak, but when you jump close enough to an enemy to separate you two with a barrier, the combination of his weak show and feather duster, as Torbjorn calls it, is a lethal combination.

And when it ain’t, at least he can jump to safety before taking too much damage.

Winston is also great for speeding along to the checkpoint where enemies are too busy trying to keep you at this morning point.

Winston beat out Lionheart because of his speed.

Once in, it takes getting used to a lot of button combinations to become an expert at it, but once you do, you become lethal to any of the smaller characters who are usually too fast for the other characters to catch and kill.

Number 2: Junkrat.

Junkrat is very easy to hate.

People who play with him are not bundled down by the task of trying to aim.

All you need to do really is find a corner where opponents are not aware of his presence and just lob, lob little bombs into the center of action and watch their team drop like flies.

The balls bounce off walls and they take a whole lot of power when they hit.

Overwatch does not allow players to hit each other with bullets on the same team so all of Junkrat’s explosions’ attributes never does any damage to the home team.

People who are a lot more skillful learn how to precisely end these little terrors and set bed trap and toss his mines into your face.

His goal is to blow off one of your limbs just like he did his own.

Junkrat is a maniac. His play style matches his personality to the tee.

Running line and jump a lot as you do with all other characters and Junkrat causes more damage to a goal than anyone else.

Now I issue you a challenge from this day forward.

I want you to count who gets play of the game more often.

Junkrat’s ultimate always has the potential for a team kill.

There is not much a team can do when they don’t stick together but just to sound the fire in a hole makes everyone scatter like roaches when the lights are turned on.

Just like D.Va, Junkrat uses the fact that people need to group up and stick together against them.

Number 1: Torbjorn.

Play correctly, it’s like having a seventh character on your team.

A lot of your teammates may give you a hard time for picking Torbjorn in the beginning of the round.

I wish I could say something to help you through that onslaught of words that you will receive, usually by someone who plays way worse than you in general.

And to some degree, they may have a point but they only have a point because there are some Torbjorn players who will do nothing but stand right behind their turret for the entire match, hammer in like a psychopath.

Those people should never pick up Torbjorn.

In their case, it’s almost like you’re losing a member from your team.

But for people who play like me and others who are actually good with them, Torbjorn can be used to create distractions, shift momentum, and keep your team’s hopes of winning alive even after everyone has been blown to smithereens.

A well-placed or it could mean the difference of four to ten minutes of delay for an opposing team.

Sometimes just enough time for you to get back to the point.

Keep checking my channel and I will show you

where those spots on each map are.

But beyond the turret, Torbjorn has a powerful liquid hot lava weapon that doesn’t shoot straight ahead.

Some people think this is not such a good addition but when you learn to aim a little higher of people and execute what could be some of the easiest headshots in the game you’ll realize the direction of the projectile is beautiful.

Add on the ultimate burst shot of five projectiles at once when you are in close range with an enemy and let one of these off they will wonder what happened to more than half of their life meter.

Using this gun close range on D.Va or Orisa is some of the most fun you can have in Overwatch.

You can almost hear the player in complete confusion wondering about why they are only inches away from their death that quick.

Did you enjoy this countdown?
